Michele (Healey) Miller, 65, of Scranton, died Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Scranton, daughter of Rosalind Conway Healey, John (Tony) Healey and Donald (Tuck) Tucker, she attended Scranton schools and worked in the retail industry and in customer service.
Known for her wit, humor and intelligence, Michele was was a feisty Irish woman who would tell it like it is - if she liked you, you'd know it, and if she didn't, you'd know that, too. She enjoyed watching football and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
After her mother's death, Michele not only raised her own siblings, but was like a second mother to many other neighborhood children as well. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered, by all who knew her.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Miller; two grandchildren, Sebastian Carovinci and Gabrielle Goodrich; and a sister, Donnelle Healey Kingsley; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Sean C. Healey.
