Celia M. Coolick, Pre-arranged Funerals, Neil Regan Funeral Home, Scranton, PA

Celia M. Coolick, 97, of Scranton, died Thursday under the care of Allied Hospice and surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late Anthony Brzycki and the late Andrew Coolick, and an active member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish.

Celia loved bowling and made many friends at both Idle Hours and South Side Lanes. She devoted her life to caring for her family, and always felt that she had been blessed with two wonderful husbands. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Brzycki; a son, Richard Brzycki and wife, Irene; two grandchildren, Rosemary Nolan and husband, Jim; and Matthew Brzycki and wife, Sara; four great-grandchildren, Kyle and Eric Zeigler and Alexander and Aria Brzycki; nieces, Frances Trego and husband, Donald; and Christine Tryon and husband, Bob; and numerous cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Stanley, Helen and her dear sister, Josephine Burne.

The funeral will be Friday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Parish at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Ave., celebrated by the Rev. Jonathan Kuhar, assistant pastor. The family has requested that masks be worn inside the church and during Mass. In accordance with Celia's wishes, she will be cremated. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
